Chinese developers VANKE are back, this time in Shenzhen with the development of the International Convention Centre. Designed by Huahui design and Enjoy Design, the local Chinese architects studios built a landmark building in the QianHai area of the city.
Based on the concept of ‘diamond’, the exhibition centre wanted to be a ‘glittering gem’ in the centre of the city. This diamond pattern displays itself the most on the buildings expansive facade, with triangle openings for windows and entranceways. An important aspect of the project was to create a large public space at the front of the building, for local residents to gather and use.
