Now that Beijing Design Week has finished for 2014, we look back at some of the highlights.

Standard Architecture – Micro-Yuan’er

Much like the hutong installations of last year, standardarchitecture have built a small art space in the centre of a hutong courtyard and based around a tree.

reMIX Studio – a-void (Yangmeizhu 2)

This Beijing studio has created a future configuration of a soon to be developed building through a light installation of wireframes volumes. Due to negotiations with existing tenants, the residential unit has been delayed and reMIX studio wanted to show representations of the future volumes.

CAFA – Everyday Issues

Students at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) have been exploring products which can be made to fix a wide range of issues from designing for the elderly to adapting courier vehicles for their expanding industry.
